Spiritual Light vs Spiritual Darkness

Jesus Said,"I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

The initial step to spiritual enlightenment is by miraculously and supernaturally being born again of the water (word of God) and of the Spirit (Holy Spirit). Jesus said,”Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jn.3:3; and “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” Jn.3:5.Basically, to enter the kingdom of God one must first begin to see spiritually or be spiritually enlightened.
However, most people prefer to remain in darkness rather than be in the light. Jesus said,”And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” Jn.3:19-21.
True light dispels darkness. However, beware that there is indeed a light that is really darkness,”The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” Mt.6:22,23. “Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.” Lk.11:33-36.
This true light is the wisdom of God whereas the light which is darkness is the wisdom of man and of the world,”For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, the Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.” 1Cor.3:19,20. “For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” 1 Cor.1:19-25. Therefore, it is written, “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 1 Cor.2:4-7.
What is the source of this true light?”This then is the message which we have of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1Jn.1:5-7.
God manifested forth His true light in His only begotten Son Jesus Christ the messiah. John the Baptist was sent by God to bear witness of this light,”The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” Jn.1:6-9.Jesus Christ later vindicated this utterance by John the Baptist in his discourse,”Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Jn.8:12. “Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.” Jn.12:35,36. “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” Jn.12:46.
God also manifested forth His true light in His words.”Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Ps.119:105. “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Ps.119:130. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Tim.3:16-17.
God also uses the Holy Spirit to bring to light the things which He has prepared for us,”But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Cor.2:9-14. Also, the Holy Spirit was sent by God to guide and teach us the truth. Jn.14:26; 16:13; 15:26.
Beware that being a member of any church or religious organization does not mean that you are spiritually enlightened. Also, attending bible school, college or seminary and graduating with degrees in theology does not bring about spiritual enlightenment. Neither being ordained by some man or organization to be a pastor, preacher, minister, or teacher constitutes spiritual enlightenment. Reading and studying books and CDs and DVDs published by these church leaders to make money will not impart spiritual enlightenment. These media are full of spiritual garbage and man’s wisdom. One should instead be focused primarily on the Holy Bible, the words of God. Therefore, it is important that a person should examine himself or herself to see whether they are in the faith or not and to study to shew thyself approved unto God rightly dividing the word of truth. 2Cor.13:5; 2 Tim.2:15-19.
Spiritual enlightenment comes from knowing God, His Son Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and His words. Everything else is spiritual garbage saturated with deception, darkness, and lies. Have thine eyes anointed with eyesalve that thou mayest see the true light and be an enlightened soul.
I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
